Using USA made chain #2 with a maximum load of 325 lbs. will it hold coyotes.

yes, if you have #2 use it, if you need to buy chain then get #3.

I think you guys are giving a coyote super natural strength. Especially when were talking chain on drags.
I've caught a lot of coyotes with that cheap crap loop type chain On Duke traps. And never had any chain fail yet.

I do not disagree with you but a couple of years ago I had a large male coyote bend a medium quick link open a half inch. I failed to snug up the collar properly I will freely admit. But the fact it was bent like that shocked me. The only reason I held him was that before the cable came out of the open quick link the coyote got the cable inside of a j-hook on the trap chain. And somehow the loop end ferrule on the cable wedged in the J-hook and held him. The bent quick link was just laying there on the ground. I have erred on the side caution since by getting everything a little beefier than it has to be.

Absolutly, I've had the foreign made fail on 2 different coyotes, believe it or not. I've used #2 American for 40 years on coyotes without 1 failure..

Common sense catches alot of fur..
