Swish it around in a five gallon bucket, then dump and put fresh water in until the water comes out clean. Dawn dish soap might help, but I'm not sure.
FYI, I only started putting up fur last fall, so other guys will likely have better advice.

I run mine through a rinse cycle in my washer with cold water. Hang up over night to dry and put up the next day.

After fleshing, I run mine through a short cycle in the washer with a small amount of soap. Then in the dryer on "air fluff (no heat) and into stretcher

I have NEVER washed any fur. I don't know If I did that It would get me any higher prices.
On coyotes and fox I use Oxi Clean In a spray bottle. Just spray the bloody spots and blot out the blood. Works great and you don't have to deal with all that washing and drying.

I use to wash my coyotes but no more unless extremely filthy. I now use a borax treatment. Once the skin as dried and the fur turned out I work considerable dry borax powder into the stained areas, let set for 10-15 minutes and then comb, brush, and shake the borax out. Using this borax treatment method works extremely well as it removes blood stains and also cleans and brightens the fur. As the "Beav" stated re his oxy cleaning method, "Works great and you don't have to deal with all that washing and drying."

The only constant in trapping is change so keep learning.

I trap 99% of land fur after freeze up and use lethal sets so no need to wash any.

Compared to most of you, I am a small time trapper. I get 3-4 weeks in the fall and a couple weekends in the spring if I have access to beaver. If I trapped for weeks/months on end i might do differently. Does washing/air fluffing (drying) result in higher prices at the sale? I don't know. Last year, all my gray fox were graded select and one took top lot. Was it because they grow large in Northern MN, were prime and otherwise well handled or because they were also washed? I don't know....but I sure know it didn't hurt! With a washer/dryer at the cabin it cost me little time and effort to do so
