I have caught maybe 60 beaver in close to 20 years in spring only with submerged 330 an caster set, I used use it only then an only beaver open, to much work with digging out trench in bank deep enough an far enough back an lot blocking, sometimes it works an sometimes not at all, if works it usually does right away an most I caught is 3 beavers in set an then nothing, I have spent a hour making set an really not interested in making very few of these again as way to time consuming an to much work, bank caves in an keep digging out sand an more blocking, remake Is hard, have caught a few by tail an feet climbing in it , I wish are laws were half submerged 330s, if they were I would make alot these sets in spring but have be complely sumberged an I don't plan on making many lured 330 sets again, I rember catching Some like posted before between a rock an bank, Bank an island a few foot wide or 1 time a few sticks an vertical bank, u dont alwaysalways find these spots though, snares or live caught have be checked in morning unless can make drowning snare set, it dont work for me like some said to just walk back from mound an lure on bank an set when deep enough an block off with sticks, beaver goes around up on bank before dives though where try force beaver an same with trench on bank set I talking off, it may work better with area with high beaver population

Any time you try and force a beaver to dive under something your going to miss some beaver. Now If you could find the channels or a cross over on a dam that's where I would concentrate my efforts. Or look for drowning water and use a foot hold.
Or like some one said use a snare If legal.

FROM THE BEAV. THAT IS THE BEST ADVICE IN MY OPINION,
