Numbers, money, enjoyment, achievement, thrills, satisfaction? What?

All thee above... but money at the moment is at the bottom and will remain there til I know I can actually make money selling it

enjoyment -

I do it for fun, predator control, its nice when i make money but that doesnt matter, i really enjoy the challenge of coyotes, fox, and bobcat and the satisfaction after catching one

the reality is its an excuse to spend time out where nobody else is. money is a big motivator. hard to take off from work if the money isn't there.

Challenge, solitude, surprises, being in the outdoors and everything it brings

I like to just be in the great outdoors
And I always feel like a kid on Christmas morning,when I get up to go run a good line. It just put's a little spring in my step. And being able to pass this on to my grandsons. Just a few of the reasons I trap. There are more and money is not a big part. Any money I make goes into more trapping gear.

I'll be honest I'm In It for the money and the challenge. It use to be fun when I was 40 now It's getting to be not as much fun. LOL

I do it for the challenge, and the fun and to try and control the numbers. But the most satisfying reason is the time teaching my kids about the great outdoors. Its only my 2nd season and I really love it, I can only run a few sets at a time because of work and family but maybe one day I can actually run a "line"

The enjoyment of being out and if I break even on gas after selling that is a plus.

I'd like to say it's not about the money. But trapping is a big investment of time, money, and effort.

The money aspect IS what makes trapping possible. So I can't quit my job and trap for just gas money.

But money is far from the only consideration. If it was money only I could stay in a warm dry shop or office and make all I cared to make.

The other aspects keep us coming back in spite of the poor monetary return.

For me it's about taking part in my family's heritage, and being able to pass it on to my kids/grandkids. It's challenging, but spending time in God's creation and experiencing nature is awesome!

it was money back in the day as i grew up in the 70s... then got outta it till 1991 .. turing the 80s i was booming around country pa life took over payin for house ect. bought this place in 1991 ,38 acres mostly slough... me and my son were messing around on 4 wheeler that winter n seen some rat huts... bought some traps n been goin since . taught my sons to be good trappers! think i got 2 bucks put up for put up rats that winter ..

Enjoy being out with family. Knowing that i am doing my part in wildlife management.

The respect I get from fellow trappers & others that I help out. The time with Mother Nature seeing all of her wonderful sights is a really big plus. The cash in my pocket helps out a little too.
