What's Georgia got to offer to make people want to move there?

I'm starting to look for places to go when I retire.

Georgia is a dang pretty state. Tremendous variation in land types. From mountains to agriculture land to millions of acres of pines to swamps. It’s all there. Lots of wildlife. Deer, turkey, and bear for big game. Lots of furbearers, but not the highest quality fur. Not great waterfowl hunting. Warm climate but dang humid a lot of the year. I like GA. I’m a Midwest corn country guy, and will probably never leave here but GA is a very nice place.
I been turkey hunting there for several years now.

Skeeters, poisonous snakes, gators, sand gnats, yellow flies, horse flies, lots of ticks ...year round. Come on down and retire here. We need fresh blood.

..Dad moved us here in '80 and never had to shovel snow before his death in '03....since it usually melts in a day or 2 after falling.

Oh yeah....i did forget what you call chiggers. We call them red bugs. As I've got older rarely do they bite me. I think they got tired of my blood....sorta rank to em.

Worked with a fellow who was stationed in Georgia, when in the military. He said the skitters were so big, that they could stand flatfooted and fornicate with a turkey.

Keep in mind there are two Georgias.....1) Atlanta area and 2) All the rest of the state.

And the state can be split in half also. North of Macon is red hills up to the Appalachain mountains. South of Macon is farmland down to the pineywood swamps.

I am 40 min south of Atlanta. Just moved here from Texas. Beautiful country from where I use to live. Excited to try and trap some animals here. Just need to find the property first.
