Should they come from a state or federal level?
I think at least state if not both. Many states overrule/ignore federal laws already.

One of NM senators said these laws need to come from the federal level. I don't agree 100%. He also voted to shutdown the government.

I think it should come from the local school district. I live in a class D school district. Why should I pay the high dollar to send money to Detroit. My car insurance is way to high not to help pay for the large city's. JMO

Problem is Federal dollars are involved and they can't do without that inflow of cash!

I am thinking both on different levels.

I don't like being blanketed under laws that is relevant to big populated areas but are a hinder to small rural areas.

Give the locals a say on what is needed and don't govern it to the point of stupidness like they usual do.

I as well live in a class "D" school district that has money issues.

We could do without a couple of ParaPro's(teachers aide) and hire a security person to be there.

Districts can have their requirements but first the law needs changing so a 4th degree felony isn't an issue.
I agree Jerry.
