I have some extra Poplar Bud Oil that I would like to try this spring. What is a good product to dilute this with and what ratio?

Poplar bud oil is a pretty good attractant by itself but if you want to catch a bunch of spring beaver mix it with a bit of castor and glycerin or do you want it to be castor-free?

I'm just happy to be here! Today I'm as young as I'll ever be and and older than I've ever been before!

Use It straight. Then make a second set with In 20 feet or so and use straight castor. And see what works the best.

No need to mix it with anything. Put it on a stick of popple and you have all you need to catch beaver

How expensive is poplar bud oil? Not a poplar tee in AR. that I know of but would be curious on how a beaver would react.

I've always wished it was that easy here in these Ga swamps...

I feel sorry for you guys with no popple. It's like putting a big Snickers candy bar out there. Have you ever tried poplar bud oil down there?

I was thinking something castor-free. What do you think about mixing with Vaseline?

No need to dilute. Just pour a little on a 2" thick, 15" long, stick of popple. There's no better way to attract beaver in Minnesota out there.
