I would be thrilled to have more time to trap. We get swaped at work that time of year, so my trapping has only been behind the house only. Some day soon, oh some day soooooon!!!

A lot of good reasons for trapping so far. It is very interesting what trapping means to different people. As some have already said my early years trapping was for the thrill of catching and learning about the animals. As I grew older it also became a way to buy Christmas gifts for the kids when times were tough. Now days it is for the pure enjoyment of being in the outdoors and matching wits with the critters. I don't think I will ever grow tired of wondering what is at the next set. The anticipation of the catch or miss will always keep me moving forward.

At my age, chasing the memories... maybe meeting a few new challenges and making some new memories along the way too.
Let's go Brandon!

Trapping is the funnest part-time job I've ever had. Of course I try to make money while making memories. First are always special too.

It like a mountain. I trap because it's there?

For me trapping is the only way I have found to make an easy six figure income and attract beautiful shallow-minded women at the same time. Oh, and also wear stylish clothes and drive flashy cars on a company expense account. Personally, I don’t care about the challenges, traditions, memories, being smarter than a beaver, or even a good game of ten pins! It’s the money, broads, clothes, and cars.

The wood crackling in the stove in the wall tent...
The smell of a cattail swamp at first light...
The band of elk kicking up snow as they disappear over the hill...
The coyote tracks following my trail, knowing that I have a snare right around the corner...
A long day after many miles of line, then putting up fur, then the last toddie before the sleeping bag...
To me, that's trapping.

A good income for those who enjoy the outdoor life.
Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.
