Boards or wire stretchers? What does everyone prefer and why? Which of the two seem to work best?

Wood boards for me, as they provide the ability to pin out a square butt and the tail, they also provide overall better consistency in shape, pelt length and fur density thus providing better overall appearance.
The only constant in trapping is change so keep learning.

Wood for everything, including rat's, unless I have a bunch of rat's to finish. Then, it's wire all the way, for speed.

I'm of the "wood" opinion for everything. I was a holdout on rats, but switched and increased my average payout. Probably wouldn't matter in a hotter market.

Thanks for the input. Mostly will be going after rats, mink marten, coon, yote, beaver. Obviously, hoops for beaver. As always, appreciate y'all helping a new guy out with some advice.
