Strong southerly winds brought the geese and a lot of ducks up. Yesterday there were geese n ducks in every pond and a lot of flooded field ponds too,
Even saw a butt ugly robin yesterday
High wind today's freezing rain and snow now, car rolled in ditch on highway in front of me

30-50 MPH winds here with blowing snow and it rained last night before it snowed, them early robins I seen the other day must be hugging a branch in the cedars wondering 'What was I thinking!"

Was born in a Big City Will die in the Country OK with that!

You guys talking about robins they never left here this winter. I have seen them every month from last Nov. till now. I'm not sure why but I see them all year at the ranch. There is a lot of cover and must find enough to eat. Geese where there till Jan. this year then left because water got to thick for them.

I saw robins here on Sat but they weren't "butt ugly". Must be a northern Iowa variety grin
