Buddy and Sissy, once the critters stop wiggling they lose interest.

Dead Coyote couldn’t help but notice a couple of your jags have a mustache and a couple don’t. Is this a difference in breeding, males versus females, what’s the story ?

Good looking terrier mcrobinson. I hope he didn't chew up those cats too much. Getting a pup to show that much interest in fur is great. He'll be a real killer in a year

I’m going to look at some Airedale bluetick pups this weekend. Any experience with this cross?

I am not a hound guy so take this advice for what it's worth. I think the airedale brings a lot more to the cross than the hound. Also a first gen cross with have a lot of pups with mostly hound traits or mostly airedale. So you won't know what you're really getting until they are grown.

The terrier is my dads. The cur is mine. They both got teeth into that cat when the choke pole came out. They didn't tear it up but they both got a little taste of claws and teeth from the cat as well.
Neither backed down.

Gus hasn't been with me as much as Sophie this year but he's showing lots of interest. This is the first cat he really has went after. When the cat wasn't moving he wasn't doing much but if Sophie got the cat hitting the end of the chain Gus would get pretty intense. I think the 2 of them are going to work together pretty good. Now that cat season is dying down we'll take a little break and then start calling coyotes and try to get them into that game.

I've got a mountain cur pup who is going to be a coon and Squirrel dog -hopefully. Does anyone have a dog they hunt and also take on the trapline? I'm concerned if I take on the trap line I'll be teaching the dog to stay near me and it will be a detriment to the hunting. Thoughts?

I think you can work around that acron if you have a good dog that listens and knows what you are doing.

Here is Gus getting fired up on a coon.

Coons at night, squirrels during the day and he knows when were checking traps.
