I bought some BMI 110's and it's a way nicer trap then the 110 sleep creeks, nice trigger with no play to adjust.I would think the 220 would be the same quality.

I have, mine are about 10 yrs. old. Don't know if they've changed or not.

I like them I run them in coon boxes I made. They work great but you do have to tune the trigger. Not hard to do it just takes some time. I've got my biggest coon in them. 25 lbs or so. They never made it out of the box. Head still in it. Got it right behind the ears.

I've never used Bridger or Sleepys so I can't comment on them.

The only other kind I've used is Belisles. They work but they're pricey. The BMI's kill them just as dead.

After work I'll post pics of the coon.

Brad

The BMI body grippers are all excellent, reasonably priced and American made(if you can get them).I haven't used the sleepy creeks. After buying 110's from them,I have avoided their BG's.

If you need a supplier, Newt from SnareOne is where I got mine. I believe his Phone lines are still down from the Tree from the Storm.

I have #220s from the 80s that are still as strong as about any new trap on the market. BMI has also always had great triggers. I won't buy anything else in the #110 size as they are the only ones with longer dinner bell triggers that will trip easily. How many mink slink through the hard Duke triggers? (unless filed down).

Not sure if the steel is the same quality as my old #220s but I'd give them a shot for sure. I would steer clear of Sleepy Creeks. I know their springs are weak.

The last traps I bought from BMI, I just called them a few months in advance and had them bring them to the convention for pick up. They even made me a special order of single spring #160s that they technically don't offer.

Has anyone used the BMI magnum 160s or 220s? I’ve been wanting to hear some reviews on them since I heard they would be making some. In September 2017, BMI told me that the magnum 160s/220s would be in production “next year”.

Very nice review.

I wasn’t sure when the mags were available, as I’ve only been buying bodygrips for about 4 years, and I haven’t seen mags since then

Dynamite traps...strong springs good trigger....my only complaint is short chain...add cable and you're ready to go.

Well Goldy did have a bad experience with the #330s he bought not too long ago....so maybe something has changed...or he got a bad batch.

I've used BMI mags since the '90's. Only issues I've had are that one 160 broke at the welds. Huge coon in it. No other issues with any of the sizes. They are the only 110 I use. The only bodygrips I like better are Belisle's.
