Got the permission slip to trap a section of river thats adjacent to 2 other parcels of river. Have been trying for a few years but the matriarch of the family who owns it was against any trapping. Son is now in charge and the note was dropped off at the house today. Securing property can be almost as exciting as a targetted catch.

nice work!

Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.

I trap the Kyte River north of my house. 2 sections are owned by a farmer who I asked for permission every year but was politely turned down for about 6 years. I would say "Thank You" anyways.
One day he came walking across the road from his home where I did have permission and said "Go ahead and trap mine from now on". That was about 3 decades ago and I still trap it.

work on a place for years from an elderly lady, with not a lot of success. She called me a couple of years ago with skunk problems. Over the summer months I removed 18 skunks out of her yard. After that never had a problem. Now the kids have taken over and it has turned into hard luck again.
