Not any more, AARP is an ANTI-GUN organization, Google anti-gun groups. I would suggest everyone that reads this post to do the same and see all the groups and organization that is anti-gun!!! You will be surprised!

A much better alternative for conservatives, libertarians or any freedom-loving person: https://amac.us/I've been a member for many years. As mentioned previously.... AARP was totally onboard and pushing the ACA.

AARP is just a branch of the DNC. I get their unsolicited &$*% and just throw it in the fire. I figure the more money they waste sending me stuff is that much less they will have to spend fighting against the things that I support.

What support do you have for the claim that AARP is anti-gun?
I too am a supporter of Obamacare, so their stance on that issue doesn't bother me.

Here you got James AARP Stance on guns Easy enough to find with a simple search.Found another that had even more interesting stuff about a splinter group sucking up tax money. According to a National Legal and Policy Center report titled, “How the Federal Government Subsidizes AARP,” written by NLPC Director of Policy John Carlisle, AARP administers the federal funds through its the AARP Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charity, because AARP is designated as a 501(c)(4) that’s ineligible for federal funds. Ghost company?

"AARP supports measures to eliminate firearm possession by juveniles, convicted domestic abusers and those under domestic violence restraining orders.”
Debatable, but not extreme. I think I'll keep my membership, mainly for the discounts.

What is there to debate? Whether or not free people have a right to arm themselves or whether the government has authority and obligation to infringe on that right?

Jim I read the article the NRA wrote as well. I would have to agree. Their stance is not anti gun by any stretch. If enough seniors complained about what they didn’t like about it, they would change it. They advocate for what members say they want. They do advocate for seniors quite effectively. By leaving the organization, you reduce your ability to change the stance the group takes on any issue.
