I sure hope not. But if I were in your shoes, I wouldn't feel real comfortable either!

Depends on how whom ever weeds out "episodes" on however any new rules are written or passed, if that even happens !!

I do know in certain areas if your going to be on Medical approved Cannabis your not allowed to have firearms, so that would be a deal breaker for me to use it !!

Unless you have been committed or are a danger to yourself or others, I wouldnt sweat it. There are hundreds of thousands of people in the USA with PTSD. There are even more with depression and other mental health issues. IF everyone who took prozac lost their guns it would be hundreds of thousands of persons!!!!

Now if your threatening people, have been committed, have hallucinations or act out violently then I would say you might have an issue one day.

Committed as having been institutionalized for the illness or received involuntary inpatient care.

Danger to yourself or others? Are you making threats to harm yourself or others publicly or to any treatment providers or close friends or family members??? Have you in the past harmed yourself or others???

Have you been arrested for a violent act???

IF the answer is No then I dont see where just having PTSD makes you at risk to loose your guns any more than being depressed or any other illness.

You lose your guns for any felony and they don't have to have anything to do with using guns or being a danger to anyone...

I have a feeling those with ptsd will be one of the compromised class. Usually, but not always, we are veterans who are registered with the department of veterans affairs and so are already on the radar, marked, numbered, computered, listed, drugged, therapied, and wondered what to do about. Sitting on the steps of the bus, so to speak, next out the door. No facts to back that up, just how I see our George Orwell times we're living in unfolding.

Even people who were involved in a severe traffic accident can suffer from PTSD.

I agree with H5Farm...

Combat vets would be the first ones to disarm if you want a totalitarian government.

Be a pleasure...

The Missouri Militia is a good group if they have a battalion near you.....I spent a lot of time talking with Col. Sumpter of the 1st Bat/3rd Brigade at gun shows. They seemed like a solid group. Too far for me to go regularly thou. I do not leave my county much.

He had the support of some of the local sheriffs. They also have done extensive disaster relief help. I am sure they would oppose any kind of confiscation...

Even people who were involved in a severe traffic accident can suffer from PTSD.

As a result of that accident,do you feel a need to surrender your firearms?

Others will decide!

The only one who can decide you will SURRENDER your guns is you.

Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790)
