I have this old Blake and Lamb jump. Like all Blake and Lamb traps they are stamped light. Can somebody tell me the size of this before I try and sell. Pictures with measurements. I cannot see the size.

Definitely a # 21 B&L

Look at the pan shank. See how it is twisted. Most pan shanks are straight.

Thanks wissmiss. I know there isn't much of value but at least I know what it is when I sell.

What makes it a 21 and not a 2?

The twisted pan shank. I read some place the reason behind the twisted shank. Can't remember what is was.

The Blake & Lamb under spring traps of the time were sizes #0, 1, 1 1/2 and 21 all single spring. And sizes #2, 3, and 4 all double spring. Both the #21 and #2 have a 5 1/4" jaw spread, the #21 a single and the #2 a double spring.
