Hi All,
Quick question from a newbie. Are there ideal designs for split board stretchers for different critters? I build a few and had a heck of a time getting a Fox on the one that I built. I realize that I made it a bit too wide, just curious if there is some designs out there that I don't know about. The book I bought focused mostly on wire stretchers and solid board.

Thanks for the help.

Look at ryan5911 on google. He has measurements for his fox boards. i have built one the same as he has, and had good results with it.

I've always used NAFA board specs with neck area of canines and cats shaved down 1/4 to 1/2 inch and never had any problems:

The only constant in trapping is change so keep learning.

For what it's worth, I'd be more inclined to go with the NAFA patterns because of the vast amounts of fur that cross the auction room floor.

I used Ryan's board pattern for a few years which has a more bottleneck appearance .. then switched over to NAFA pattern which gave me a more uniform pelt and fuller neck which I liked more ..my 2cents
