Smith 317 air weight very nice trap line gun. Just pricey and it's a low production pistol and is hard to find. I wouldn't hesitate

I have shot one , nice gun but not cheap. As has been said, they are a bit spendy and not easy to find, probably will need to order one when you decide to go for it. Like a very good cup of coffee, good gear is one of life's simple pleasures....and when you buy quality "you only cry once"

My bro ESW has one the new style models. It's the nicest trapline pistol I ever used. If I could find one I would have one to replace my bearcat. It's a solid reliable straight shooting pistol. I wouldn't trade my bearcat for 317. But i will buy one when I can find one. Hard to find and expensive for 22. But you can't go wrong with Smith and Wesson revolver period! The Smith and Wesson kit gun I got I want shoot. Man y'all going make me dig it out. Haven't seen it in months. Time to dig some guns out!

The 1 7/8 barrel isn't very accurate from the reviews off the S&W owners forums I checked last year.......sooooooo, get the 3". They only weigh bout 1/2 what a Bearcat does. Shop gun shops across America at www.gunsamerica.com like many of us!

Would have come in handy when I had a mangy fox chasing me at the wood pile last fall. You had a pile of wood to grab a pc to stun it with, and didn't ? Someone may come take your ManCard fella!

I was splitting for my outdoor boiler and most pieces are pretty big. If you can throw big chunks around 30lbs accurately you are more man than I will ever be. Not ready to pull my guts out doing that stuff.A 317 S&W would be easier to use plus it gives me another reason to buy another gun. My mancard says buy another gun.....
