Yes I have, the loader bucket on a ford 4000. I now use a diesel powered driver, bucket on a bobcat skid steer. Just cut a piece of 2in pipe the length you want your post to stick up with flat iron on one end like a hand driver. Slide it over the post and drive it. It is easier if someone will hold it for you, but if no one is available push it in a couple of inches by hand so it will stand. It takes a little patience and a learning curve to not bend the post, but works good after you figure it out.

I have a pneumatic t-post driver. Works well once you get the hang of it. Watching the videos on gas powered now. Gas is faster!

What make and model did you go with?

Would love to have something like that for driving rebar trap stakes. The old shoulders and elbows can't hardly hack it all day when setting the line out. Anyone have any suggestions or thoughts? Slightly smaller version maybe?

Maybe Lee S. Could come up with something?

I've got a bunch of fencing to do soon too. I thought about getting this one but it's still a little too rich for my blood. Plus carrying around 30 pounds didn't sound like much fun either.

You ordered a gas powered one but which brand 2 cycle or 4 cycle? If you would please let me know how it works and which one you got?

Thanks

Thanks Turkeywrangler, that looks interesting. Not exactly light but maybe doable.

We used a 2 stroke one to drive 10' lengths of steel conduit for strawberry towers....worked amazingly well.

Just happy to be here.

The lumberyard here will rent one for $75 a day. If you get set up with all your posts scattered and have three guys working together you wouldn't believe how many posts you can drive in a day without killing yourself.
