Anyone still use 5 gallon buckets for trapping to carry traps and tools. I'm thinking about using a 6 gallon bucket for more room in bucket and may add different size PVC pipe inside the bucket to hold the trapping tools. Mostly for raccoon trapping. Lets see some pictures. ideas and do you like your bucket?

you'll find pvc bulky and heavy compared to 1" heavy leather loops pop riveted in place, 1 about an inch from the top and another directly below 3" off the bottom, so they line up to hold stakes in place




nope, was too bulky to carry so went to a construction worker bag with shoulder strap and 12 pockets.

I'm a fan of a pail in many cases.

I quit using buckets for all water critters when I got Andy Weiser's beaver bag. It's not that I minded carrying a bucket, but with the bag, I can carry in whatever I want and carry out the critters as well. If there are too many I'll skin right on the line with my portable gambrel.

This is what I use for coon, works well, the end pockets will hold spray bottles for trailing scent,plenty of pockets. (Never! Lol)

Still carry a bucket for setting and checks.

tried Those canvas bags for land sets amd werent big enough for me. Plus you had to carry needle nose pliers to get lure bottles out of the pockets.
I wish someone would make a love child bag between grahams badland and leggets bag. Something that will slide out easily between the side door of a truck bed topper.

Going to buy a Weiser bag this year. Nice thing with buckets is easy to wash out.

The beaver bag cleans out well also. Super tough waterproof material, plenty of room for carry outs. Iv'e beat mine for 2 seasons with no issues. I'm going to convert from my tool bag for predators to his land bag.

Going to buy 1 or the other, maybe both for coon n fishers. My buckets get so pigged up setting for coon, little Dawn n Quick wash really helps.

That's a cool ideal concrete man. Doubles ( or more) floor space in the bottom. Easy to make too. Would also make the bucket more stable standing in the back of a moving bumpy truck box.

Now that is crafty, concrete.

Great idea.

Could you show pictures of the bottom to show how the small buckets are attached? The reason I'm asking, I wondered if the small buckets you riveted onto the big bucket will rip where you cut them to fit.

This attachs with small bolt to the bottom I couldn't find anything that wouldn't fall over in the back of the ranger it stays up right most of the time holds the things I need I carry dirt ect in another bucket I don't walk far from the ranger but I still don't want to do a lot of back an forth.
