I am putting a new sheet of poly on my greenhouse. Some of you haven't done this. This is the channel you trap the plstic in, holding it in place with stainless steel spring wire (wiggle wire). I bought some felt like product to protect my poly where these half sections of plastic conduit have screw heads sticking up a hair.

My framing and ridge rail on this house is way overkill for this project. You could hang deer from the ridge if you wanted to .

I need to seed anyday now...after I have the poly on there I'll seed in the house, and bring everything out here starting about 4-5 days, right after germination is complete, and nothing gets leggy in the house for lack of light.

I am a day late and a dollar short on this so far, lol.

I've been itching for another Trapper Les greenhouse thread! Thanks for posting this one.

So, the plastic is held in the groove by the wiggle wire? Does it allow your plastic to slip or be adjusted just right? It seems like it would be easier to just nail it into place.

Nice Les! Although, when I started looking at the pics, I was wondering about the framing. NICE work! WAY over-kill, but that's the way I do stuff for myself too. grin

The plastic doesn't slip, and since it is 2 layers, and inflated, it holds air better. Nail loosesn , give way, and that system is usable once. This can be used over and over again. Very air tight .

That is a good idea with the felt for the screw heads. Do you specialized greenhouse poly?

I get the poly from FarmTek store, along with that felt product and any other assesories one might need. The poly is made to last 4 years in this application, so it is made for that.s

There is a foot of snow in the woods. And on any forest road I want to look around on .

I need to get that done on mine! It would help the motivation if there was a hint of a warm up on the way.

That looks good. I'm in the process of put ends on a hoop house and also installing the plastic. It is a hoop house that rolls off of what is planted then can roll it back over the produce.

Moving right along here now. Vine crops are just popping now in the other green house. There is still a danger of a killing frost here yet for a few weeks .

You should get your medical marajuana growing license Les. Greenhouse looks good and I hope business has been good. We had a killing frost 2 weekend's ago and a lot people lost tomatoes. Greenhouses love that.

A killing frost is just one of the perks, lol. Full moon happens in a couple of days...
