It was refreshing to see an actual hunter, and a reloading bench in a big shot movie.

But it wasn't that good.

It was however miles better than that farce The Revenant.

It was a movie worth watching. There isn't many made anymore. I watched Black Panther the other night with the kids, there's a couple hours I can't get back. If nothing else Elizabeth Olsen is easy on the eyes.

I always get a big laugh from the bungholes that keep racking the slide on SA pistols after every shot, and pump shotguns even when not fired. LOL

One of the most egregious goofs lately was the Frontiersman Series on the history channel.

They showed Jackson's troops firing flintlocks at the British troops. Shot after shot with the frizzens open.

The wife and I enjoyed "Wind River" also. We went strictly Net flicks about seven months ago. A really good movie we watched recently on net flicks was "St. Vincent" with Bill Murry. The plot kind of reminded me of "Grand Torino" with Clint Eastwood. smile

Wife and I watched it and liked it. Couple intense scenes.

I would recommend "Defiance". Based on a true story. WW2 era. It's on Netflix.

Watched the movie this evening. Very intense! At times a little hard to follow but worth watching if you have a chance!

The coyotes the wildlife officer wacks in the first scene are shot with a bolt action it looked to me like.
I thought it was a very good movie

I took a picture of a spider on the snow this winter. It was way out in the middle of a frozen bog. I don't remember the exact temp but it was during the cold snap we had so probably between -15 and 15. I'll see if I can find it.

Well it's pretty dog gone obvious you don't know much about reeevolers, I've personally seen John Wayne shoot hundreds of desperado's without ever having to reload! Not once! whistle

Wind River one of the best. Very intense scene when the contractors had a showdown with the law accusing the law of pointing a gun at them for no reason. It seemed the FBI agent calmed everything down and then... Movie had what seemed to be calm scenes that can out of nowhere erupt into chaos. Just like in life, be observant since the unexpected can happen at any time.
After listening to some of the comments the director said about the coyote scene, I got the impression the director didn’t really care about what the animal rights groups said about it.

I've seen spiders on snow before.
Says based on true events? Did this really happen?

I thought Wind River was very good.

I don't know much about Jeremy Renner, but I've enjoyed just about every movie he's been in. He has a knack for playing down-to-earth likeable characters.

Not that it really matters, but I don't think the opening coyote seen was with a lever action. I'd have to look again, but I thought he was working a bolt and the gun was white.

Agreed.

Been a minute since I watched the movie, but I'm pretty sure he used a bolt.
