It didn't work and it was awkward watching you. It was one of those things I tried to look away but could not. I still have nightmares. Lol

330, our girls are laying and have been going out in their run to play in this weather. (It has a roof). I went into the coop to dust and clean up a bit yesterday and for some reason I couldn't get their country western station on their chicken radio, so I had to pick an oldies station with good reception. It was kind of weird to see the girls doing the hustle. They seemed to be enjoying that. Disturbing and unnatural. I hope they don't quit laying now! laugh

How much thicker are the eggs if you run a rooster with the hens? Do they take longer to cook?

Trapping is easy you say? You try getting your target animal to step in a 3 inch area of its whole territory.

This small flock comes out for scratch most everyday into the run area covered with chicken wire.

What gorgeous Wyandottes ! That columbian colour is so pretty too. They are wonderful calm birds.

Glad everyone is taking good care of theirs in the storms.

Don’t believe they are Wyandottes although could be Columbian Wyandottes

Good links ! See the single comb of the Sussex vs the rose combs of the Wyandotte- similar to 330's. The shape is different also- typical tear drop shape of the Wyandotte. Straight back vs no back outline at all- as they stand in show stance- not in the yard playing or relaxing at roost smile

The colours are similar to many other breeds and are just type patterns- not meaning to be an ID of breed in itself.
