The first book I ever read was Call Of The Wild. That was over 60 years ago. I've been a trapper ever since.

I think I wrote a book report on Call of the Wild in 4th, 5th and 6th grades. I have probably read it and White Fang at least 8 or 10 times.

I don't know if he's written anything that I haven't read. He and Tom Clancy are my favorites.

My Dad bought me "Call of the Wild" when I was about 7. Throughout my childhood I read it a few times per year. I think it set the stage for a lot of wilderness adventures. Will be passing that book on to my Grandson when he is ready, and just maybe it will spur on a few more adventures.
