trap-alaska OP trapper T Joined: Nov 2007 Posts: 380 Carlisle, PA	Serious question - I saw this year that buyers were paying per pound for beaver pelts and then just using them for felt. If that is the case, why not just use clippers to remove all the fur from the carcass and sell it by the pound? I understand the weight of the hide, but if the hide isn't being used, then the price per pound for sheared fur would be higher. I could process a beaver much quicker doing this than skinning and stretching, just to have it clipped later. Sometimes my mind wanders at work...
