I remember them days. My grandson asked if those were real. Wanted to know why they'ed make a phone like that, when voice dialing is so easy. Kids now can't understand how the internet is only a little over 20 years old.

I'm starting to feel old.

I remember our 1st phone number, it was the same as the house number 321. And the party lines.

And they were used to call the local volunteer firemen. I remember my dad getting calls to go out. It had a distinctive ring and you would answer for info to the call.

That is what it looked like when I was still at home growing up. Folks had that same type phone for most of their life. Party lines and call operator and ask what time it is etc. I wish those days were still here. LOL

Our number was 2221. My great aumts number in her small town was 6.

I remember my grandparents having the old crank phone there number to longs and a short. 5 families on that party line.

Hanging up on someone felt great. You knew they knew you slammed the phone hard

Now the way to angrily hang up on someone is to throw your phone on the ground or against the wall.

i remember calling the pharmacy and asking if they had prince albert in the can ?then telling them better let him out ,then hanging up! those where the days

remember when a long distance call was special we would go outside an tell other kid we got a long distance call

Party line.....could listen in on someone else's conversation and then tell them get off the line need to make a call. As a kid always had a dime taped to my bike incase I needed to make a call from a phone booth.

Accidentally" tripping your brother with the cord was just as fun
