I have made a little bit of waxed dirt for a couple of years just to try it out. I have made it in a concrete mixer and I usually have trouble with the wax sticking to the sides of the mixer and not melting into the dirt. What am I doing wrong?

Let it mix longer. Give your dirt a chance to get hot. Stop your mixer half way through and tip it forward enough to roll your dirt forward then tilt back and mix awhile longer.

The melting point of most wax is 140, don't ever get it over 160. Get a lazer thermometer to monitor the temp. I turn the torch off at 160 and let er go until it cools so it won't clump. Adding a couple baseball size rocks helps too.

Common sense catches alot of fur..
