I am not real happy with the course the NRA has taken to be honest. They messed up the whole bump stock thing and we can now thank them for future longer waiting times because of the fix nics.
I am also a member of GOA as they have a more firm stance on the whole 2A matter. The NRA has more interest in feeding itself and begging for more donations then stepping up to the plate and getting in step with the whole " seal not be infringed thing "
I'll wait what stance they will take after the Las Vegas party. Then decide if I double my support for GOA and drop the NRA or still stick with both of them.
I don't want to piddle on anyones campfire here, but those are my thoughts about the matter.

I don't agree with a lot of what the NRA does but it's still our biggest hammer, the left attacks the NRA just for that reason so that is why I support the NRA because it's working better then anything else out there!

NRA - In my opinion is just another (well funded) PAC!

I think we are sending a good message to the country that we will not just turn our guns in and go away.

Most of us support the organizations that give us the best fight for our money. Others just ride on our dime to protect theirs.

Imagine where we would be if we all did nothing.

Really what have we lost VS what have we won and kept over the years, how many States now have better CCW laws heck even IL has CCW and I would of bet the farm that would never happen but it did.

Behind every win is a group of people getting it done and I can go buy a gun today and walk out with it the same day so what's the beef then.

Makes sense to me. Apparently, you don't feel there should be any background checks making it possible for felons, mental unstable persons, domestic abusers, terrorists, and persons with the intent to kill human beings to purchase a firearm. Why not allow them to own hand grenades, M60s, RPGs, etc?

I think one of the reasons we don’t have many more restrictions on them is because of the NRA. Of that I have no doubt whatsoever.

You are correct trapper. I do not agree with background checks of ANY kind. Weapons sales are between two consenting individuals and no government involvement is warranted. Freedom too scary?

Oh sure, there is 'good'. However, if the goal is elimination of the GCA and it's subsidiary acts, than the ultimate goal will be forever out of reach by continued support of an organization that supports gun control. Heck, most nra members probably support background checks.
