Anybody mess with them from a comparison standpoint? My understanding is that asaf. has a similar smell to garlic.
Want to make a bait, but wanted to see if I could get away with using what I had on hand instead of making a special order.

Punch holes and let the animals your after tell you what they like. Everything sounds and looks good on paper. Testing is the only true test. X2

Asafoedita I feel is better than Garlic. I can tinture my own. I bought a large amount years ago, so I know the quality and how it is tintured.

Question Scott, what lure type is Asaf best used for? And can it be added in raw form or should I tincture first? Thanks man..

Canine's, Are you grinding it up into a powder? Tinctured mixes alot better unless you have it in powder form. If you are grinding the "gum chunk" up it is very strong and can over power your bait or lure solution.

that asafetida smell gets stronger for a few days after you add it. add just a little tincture. wait a few days and sniff. you can add more but cant take it out. if you make your own tincture its easier to get the amount right batch to batch.
