There were a couple Winchester commemoratives made in that caliber. There were limited runs of ammo made as well. Old western scrounger's founder died recently.

I am not going to say it is cheap, but add it on to the price and press on.

I've had my grand fathers model 94 in 32/40 for about 5 years now. Finding ammo can be a bit of a pain. I do have 3 boxes of the John Wayne Commemorative ammo made in the 1970 a cousin got at a gun show. If someone is interested in the gun but concerned about ammo. What I've done is have a guy that does reloading make them for me. He say it's simple, he reformed 30/30 brass loads it with bullet used for 32 special. I have several boxes of the reloads and they shoot great. Was even less expensive because I already had the 30/30 brass to give him. Now it's even fire formed to my gun when I send it back to be reloaded again. I tried to order some new 32/40 brass couple years back from place on line. Said out of stock so I put one of them let me know if it come in notes. Never did here back so just stick with the 30/30 brass..

it can also be made from 38-55 the parent case of 32-40, 30-30, 32 win spl http://www.marlinowners.com/forum/reload...ve-learned.htmlif you haven't tried gun broker , you might want to look , it gives you a national audience you set the reserve at your minimum price , figure out what shipping will be . you can't ship ammo well so if you make cases and just include the dies and empty cases with the rifle , but really someone who wants a 32-40 is likely to have dies already.

Try Graff and sons out of Mexico Missouri. I have gotten 32-40 ammo there before. Just go some .30 Remington and 303 Savage ammo from them. Also got some Winchester 45-60 brass from them not long ago. They handle lots old and unusual ammo, dies and supplies. Speer and Hornady make bullets tailored to the 32 spl that can be loaded in the 32-40. They are a little bit heavier than the factory original 32-40 bullets due to the 32 spl having more powder capacity. Love those old guns! Wife thinks I have to many!
