Redeye

You are a glutton for punishment. I am no expert but I put up a few beaver every year. Ask away and I'll try to help.
Where you located in ND?

Greg

I live by Mountain ND, my problem area is the hinde legs/tail area is it ok to leave some meat in that area, I don't own a fleshing knife yet, any tips to make that area come off without such a struggle, I am folding skin to skin then frezzing, yesterday I caught 4 beaver and had no time to skin I dried and froze them do you have to completely thaw them before skinning or will they skin frozen, price wise is it worth putting them up or should I just sell whole beavers being a rookie I know a few of these are xxxL...

Redeye,

I clean skin and make sure to get off all meat off although can be tough to get all of the red membrane. Roll each beaver skin in and then freeze. It is worth saving the castors if skinning them. I also hang the carcass for a day or so and they will stiffen up.

Edit the title to get Boco's attention and he certainly can answer your questions.

I am near GF and you could flesh them at my place if you need to.

Have a great day!
