Got to go tomorrow and try and catch a African Serval cat that got a taste of freedom and has been screw with by half the idiots in Alabama and is scared half out of it mind. Any body on here ever had to deal with catching one and if so what all did you do to catch it. They put cage traps out with things it like plus urine from another cat they have and put some of her clothes out in hopes of it staying near by. No luck. Their seeing the cat almost ever day near a pond trying to catch some baby ducks so try using a cage trap with a live chicken in it and some nut job found it and turn them in over that. Look like foot holds for the job but ain't seen the place yet that I need to trap so that might be out of the Q. Anybody can help me out on this one. Look like this might be a little tough. Oh it in a town full of nuts so that made it even better.

My wife used to raise them. She said to find out whatever t is used to being fed and use that. If it's been kept in the house take the owner to the pond to call for it. They like attention from their owner. As hot as it is I'd be careful stressing it out too much. They're high strung. I used to go in their pens and take the kittens and they didn't like that. Never had one bite me though.

Thanks. You right about the hot weather and cats. She been trying to call it but it been mess with so much it won't even come to her now. Going to try cage traps first. Don't look like to many Serval cat trappers out there. Maybe if I catch him I could demos on it, lol.

If it is like any other cat it will be dumb as a stump. If it is in the same location every day by the lake, backtrack it into the cover and set some blind trail snares to catch alive.

Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.

I had a pair of servals and one got out of the cage. I had a coyote dirt hole set a quarter mile to the north and managed to get her in it the next day. They should be curious about any new smells.

Put some Castor, cat urine and some cat lures in truck along with some hot weather baits. Ask her about catnip and she said her other cat love it but this one didn't care for it at all.

Not a bad ideal but she said people been walking ever in them woods looking for that one cat and some with guns. Because of all the dummies running around there might not be no catching it but I will give it one heck of a try.
