Yep..Crude is around 70.00 a barrel. I'm hoping it get's back up around historic highs. It can only be a good thing for wild fur..

But It's going to cost more to catch that fur with higher fuel prices. I Like $2.00 gas.

Yep..Correct me if I'm wrong. Seems to me that when crude oil was trading at $110.00 a barrel or so, that rats in the country were around 13-15 nose count more or less. Coons were in the 30 range and up..If oil would get back up around those highs $4-$5.00 a gallon gas wouldn't be that much impact

Yep..while the worlds focused on Iran. Not much has been mentioned about what's happening with oil production in Venezuela. That should help with oil on the world market increase

Yep..Crude is around 70.00 a barrel. I'm hoping it get's back up around historic highs. It can only be a good thing for wild fur.. This is really a case of co-dependent variables rather than cause-and-effect. Both the cost of oil and the cost of fur rise when the US dollar weakens. However, if oil rises without a weakened currency (due to true shortages, international turmoil, etc.), then we have the detriment of high oil prices without the benefit of high fur prices. Plus, a weakened dollar means that we ultimately pay more for everything. The best scenario is high fur demand with weak supply, and without the "benefit" of a weakened dollar. You can image what the chances of that are.

A better economy means higher gas prices. More demand means higher oil prices.....plus opec raised the rates recently.

Another problem for U.S. fur is that the strength of the dollar continues to increase, further hampering any rebound that might take place. Great for importing/purchasing foreign products, not so great for exporting raw fur.
