Ok you guys have me scared to trust the internet on this topic lol, I can't seem to find where I can buy a Michigan "safe to eat" mushroom guide, anyone have one they like?

Trapping is easy you say? You try getting your target animal to step in a 3 inch area of its whole territory.

I have “mushrooms of the upper midwest” by Teresa Marrone and Kathy Yerich. It has been the best guide I’ve ever used.

Why not just go pick some. I have been picking for a couple.weeks now and this is the best year I have had in about 5. Mesick mushroom festival was this past weekend and there is a little store that has a guy selling from a booth outside normally if you want fresh.

Wish I had more time to trap....

Atlanta is a hot spot that I have not made it to yet this year. Trying to clear a day to go.

Wish I had more time to trap....
