Yes they are.

Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.

To me most on this thread are fools, taking one heck of a gamble. As soon as you can get out of the game and support yourselves, GO. Do you know how many people died waiting for 89 bucks a month. If your waiting on a few extra bucks a month to retire, you did something wrong cause med cost is always gonna deprive you, but only if your a tight wad and let it! Live!!

I wonder if tap dancers walk into a room, look at the floor, and think, I'd tap that. I wonder about things.....

I quit my job five years ago, at age 54. No government pensions, disability, etc. ....I saved my whole life so I could retire early. My accountant guaranteed me I won’t run out of money....No doctor can guarantee that you’re not gonna run out of time. I enjoy every day....hunting, fishing, trapping, gardening, tending my bee hives....or just relaxing at camp.

I agree with most of what Hal said. I'll make it on my own dime, it's just the way I was raised. Everybody has the right to do their own thing. Just don't look to someone else to support you if you screw-up. Man up and live with it that's all. Most people don't have a clue. If it's above your pay grade find someone to help you and make a educated decision. I think the SHF when the boomers start retiring en-mass. The government letting the companies go to a employee based retirement really screwed alot of people. They don't have the education or will power to save for tomorrow.
By the way I ran "my" numbers and if I wait (66 and 10 months) I will go ahead at age 77.5 Hum decisions, decisions. Also have to lookout for the wife's best interests. Dad is 90 and Granny made it to 99, hope to be around awhile

I just bought a pot at a thrift store yesterday. At least I'll have something to pee in when i get old.

My fear of moving stairs is escalating!

You know where that old saying came from right...?

"And God said, Let us make man in our image and let them have dominion and all the creatures that move along the ground".
Genesis 1:26

“They used to use urine to tan animal skins, so families used to all pee in a pot. Once a day it was taken and sold to the tannery. If you had to do this to survive, you were '(This word is unacceptable on Trapperman) poor.' But worse than that were the really poor folks who couldn't even afford to buy a pot.
