Yep..I would like to clean up the wiring in my boat. I have three electric motors each electric motor has one 50 amp marine circuit breaker.

I would like to know if I have one 50 amp breaker on a 12v battery can I bring all three hot/red wires to that one breaker?

Not all three motors runs at the same time..

Thank You

I can catch them here...I can catch them ANYWHERE

Theoretically that will work if only one motor runs at one time but in the event of a failure, you would lose functionality of the second motor. Best to have/use individual breakers for each.

Thats not "cleaning up" the wiring. Tats bodging crap up.

Mare a bus bar with a thick wire going to it, then run the three breakers of that to the individual motors.

If you take a red 1AWG wire from the perch switch to said bus bar and do the same with a negative wire from the batteries you can use those two bus bars as a starting point for all of your wiring on board. Put a breaker bar next to it, equipped with the right size breakers for the little crap like fish finder, VHF, nav lights etc. From that bar you run the positives to the individual switches. Get some zip ties that have hope tabs for screws on them and you can do a neat routing job. DON"T FORGET to number the wires and document the whole thing. It saved hours of time spent chasing some gremlin down with a multi meter.
I see it so many times that folks just add crap as they buy it ( starting out with a used boat ) that'd crap added to it by the previous owner. No one bothers to write anything down or number the wires. Then comes a point where something quits working. Thats when I get called and stuff gets expensive.
A number of timesI have just pulled everything out and rewired a boat from scratch because of said folks not documenting anything and leaving old wires in there.

I forgot......... If your boat is used in salt water, buy tinned marine grade wires. Not just copper ones as they will turn first green then black and quit doing the pixie guiding altogether after that.
