Beaver pelts aren’t worth anything during the winter. Doubt they are worth much off season.

You could dry the hides then cut them up for use as visual attractors/lure holders if legal to keep the hides.

The lake iced out about a week ago here, and I have skinned a few lately, and I caught a few right close to the lake. I clean skin them so that putting them to the beam wont hurt them.

You can make leather out of the skins,as long as they are clear of bites and major scars.Beaver babiche is quite strong and is used for snowshoe filling in the toe and heel where a finer weave is often used.

Do this.

Then save the oil and the castor and use the meat for bait.
And don't do that job for nothing.
