Hey guys so I trapped and awesome spotted skunk and before I skinned him I did the peroxide, baking soda and soap bath and it got most of the smell out and then I skinned him. Most of the smell is gone but there is still a little bit of skunk odor. How do I get the odor out if he is already skinned and fleshed? Will the tanning process take away the smell or is there anything I should do before I start the tanning process?

I usually clean after skinning. you could try washing again. I had one that didn't get the smell out that I tanned. I put in a bag of charcoal for a while and that seemed to help. I have to use my wife and kids nose though since I cant smell
