My better half has two dogs that are digging up the yard and getting muddy. We're giving them a sand box to dig in instead. Any idea what I should use to keep them interested in it, but that won't stink like the devil? Thought about a drop of Backbreaker in each corner. Thanks.

If you have Cats running around, there's no need to add anything. The Cats will crap in the sandbox and the Dogs will roll in it and eat it. LOL

Sounds like they need a job. Dogs can get bored and will dig to occupy their time, intelligent ones are worse. If they have a job to do they will burn off some of that excess energy as well as give them something to focus on.
Common sense is a not a vegetable that does well in everyone's garden.

I always train them to not dig. You must catch them in the act then punish. I found it also helps to throw the dirt in their face and shove their head in the hole. What if they like to do that on their own?

Cant say this is a clean solution but I know for a fact it works. When you clean the dog crap out of the yard fill in the holes with it, my dogs are diggers but they wont dig through their own feces. Not sure why it works but it works for me. I usually fill the hole most of the way with dirt, stop a couple inches shy of the top and place a layer of turds then top with dirt. I don't know if there is a way to make them dig in a certain spot like your sandbox though.
If you have enough from cleaning up the yard fill the hole in with more turds, if we have more I fill with more.

Bummer, Keep us informed if you find a way to stop them. I'm sure there are several of us who could benefit from it.

Not knowing what size of a area your dealing with where they are digging in, I'd suggest laying down some wire fence on the ground. I've done that on the perimeter of the kennel and the dog's don't dig out that's for sure. Allan
