So there has been some threads about the sales but how about your overall view of your sales

So are the prices? up, down, good , weak or what overall ?

All my pelts go to tanneries for the last few years

Every day is a gift from GOD, don't waste it!!

If they have plenty of food, give them something interesting to smell

I ship to NAFA. The fox market is in the crapper, 80% buy backs. The coyote market is as good as I've ever seen.

Happy with the recent beaver sale at FHA.Nice to see good beaver prices on the rise. Not yet where they should be but going in the right direction hopefully.Remains to be seen if this was a one off or a trend.

Whoever sold those 7 $4100 bobcats is smiling all the way to the bank or the new truck dealership

The best I ever did on these crappy coyotes from WI. And I'm not including the $99.00 coyotes from the DNR study.

$67.00 and $70.00 coyotes from around here. Sure I had some $11.00 and $4.00 coyotes.

But with a 100% clearance and a over all average of $37.00 I'm very happy.

Still have a few rats to sell but It Isn't a big deal. And My few coon sold at a $13.00 average.

very happy with the coyotes and beaver sales. The beaver were not top dollar beaver but happy with the average. Even sold 1 coon that happen to get in a coyote set late and did ok on him.

I won't skin another fox. They will go the way of grinners and coons.

Muskrats will get skinned and put up because they don't cook well with the hair on and they are easy to put up.

The few beaver we had (16) were sold at a nose count of $15.00. With NO added fees. They didn't see any auction or for that matter any fur buyer.

This fur market sucks. Even coyotes unless a trapper has western heavies or possibly some super nice heavy easterns. The recent FHA was bad except for the cat sale. Nafa did a little better on the coon and rats and wild mink, but only sold about half or less. Beaver weren’t good either.

This fur market really does suck.

FHA rocks.

I got myself a seniors' GPS.

Yes, what was supposed to sell well did, the other stuff I didn't expect much and that's what I got. I was happy with the clearance as we've has some cats carrying over the last 3 sales. Wish I would have kept a couple pieces for tanning. Had a cat that was bright orange on top and pure white on the bottom, not a spot on it, would have been a cool pelt to keep. Also sent the biggest red fox I've ever caught, should have kept it also as it didn't sell.

Tough to put any bloom on that rose...
Expected unfortunately. Clearances sucked and prices with the exception of beaver were terrible for me.

I feel for you Hobbie..reds were as bad as Ive seen in the last 5 years for the section. And by a pretty fair margin... 6.93 Average for first section ...lol. I reckon we gotta go back quite a few years to see that poor.

I had a coyote sell for more money than I ever got for a single pelt in my life .Red Fox ,Raccoon and mink I did not do so good But I did not expect much difference .There where no predictions that the fur market was going to be great this past season. I tried to trap accordingly and tried to do some things differently just to see if they worked ..I had as much fun as I could ever expect and can't wait until this fall to do it again .I figure I only have so many seasons in me .And the number grows smaller each year whether I trap or not .Most pessimists are likely not very successful trappers .The real answer is no I am not happy I always think it should be better. But no body is making me do it but me

I did better than expected on my coyotes and cats, so yes I'm happy.

I haven't been happy with a fur sale since rats were over ten bucks. But for some reason I keep on trapping. Guess I had several hundred dollars worth of fun this year, but never sold a fur.

Right now I’m having amnesia and déjà vu at the same time. I think I’ve forgotten this before.

FHA has been good. Personally I didn't trap everything. I concentrated on what fur was going to have the most value, Coyotes. I always have had problem beaver to trap so I waited until spring and set heavy. Was finished up in 2 weeks before the fur got to bad. Not near as much time invested in the spring versus winter. I do not have western coyotes just a good mix of good and bad MN coyotes. Still averaged around the $50 mark. If the market looks the same next year I will not change a thing.

And your saying beaver didn't suck?? $14.00 average on the good stuff? And that's before commission.
From what you posted the FHA sale sucked. And not much different then NAFA.
