I definitely do not condone what this woman did and if true she has consequences to pay for doing it, but if you are going to lock up and throw away the key for everyone that makes up a story and lies to authorities our jails don't have enough cells to hold all of them especially if we look at the stories and lies that come from Washington D.C. This case is about a good man doing honest work in the name of we the people. This other being didn't just lie to authorities she lied and slandered an innocent man as did her lawyer. That is why they both should be punished. How would you like to be in the LEs shoes with these phony accusations and your name plastered nationally Beeman? Osky I don't see how you expected the lawyer to know she was lying!

The lawyer did not have to make claims in front of the media.....how is that his job if she hired him to sue the cop?

The barrister can believe her bull all he wants. He simply needed to go to the arresting authorities and view the evidence BEFORE making his own false and slanderous accusations. Counsel should refrain from slandering unless before the bench conducting cross examination. 2 year loss of license for the attorney plus the presentation of slander charges.

Whatever, so then represent her for the charge. That does not necessitate slandering the cop before the trial.
Slander should be punished. period.

Marty, I'm on your side and couldn't agree more. I spent all of my adult life working in the Texas criminal justice system until retirement, everything from prison guard to police officer to probation supervisor to judge in 3 different courts. The thing that has always bothered me the most is the extremes some people will go to to place or shift blame to others, especially arresting officers, when they are so obviously guilty. I have many friends and acquaintances who are active or retired TxDPS troopers. They, along with our TxP&W game wardens, are the most extremely vetted prior to hiring, most highly trained, most closely supervised group of LE officers in the state. Bad apples don't usually last long. I hope that the Ellis Co. D A does due diligence in this case and that the Texas state bar looks into action against the attorney. In reality, the former is very likely to occur, not so sure about the latter.
