I have seen the iguana skulls sell for a pretty decent price. Keith

A World War II Veteran & Trapper Friend Of Mine Who Has Long Since Passed On Said He Was Temporarily Stationed in The Galapagos Islands During The Pacific War With The Japs. He Claimed He And His Army Air Corp Buddies Would Regularly Go Out and Hunt The Giant Iguanas As He Called Them. Invariably, I Asked Him What Iguana Tasted Like and He Replied In That Timeless, Age Old Retort: "THEY TASTE LIKE CHICKEN" !!! w

While trapping late one fall,Maddog and I saw one up in a tree.I climbed up (waders and all),fetched the frozen thing down from the tree. Now this is Minnesota--not the Gallopogas islands. Only one I have ever seen. Tom

To the best of my knowledge it is perfectly legal, you just have to have permission from the landowner. My daughter was in the Keys a year or so ago and she saw them by the dozens.

If you're in a boat (The best way.), use a .410 with #4 birdshot to make up for the bobbing boat. Shoot them in the head. You'll get a lot more this way, and you can take shots when they are behind leaves or trying to escape. .22's are great if they are still, but more often than not you will have to shoot them on the move.
