Stainless does work, as BillyTraps mentioned. And yes, rather than buying a stainless steel bar of "soap," you can rub your hands on a stainless faucet and it works just as well!

Every time I wash my hands after cleaning fish I just rub my hands on the faucet and it takes the smell away every time

Lava soap works great for me after cleaning fish. I can store fresh fish for close to a week in the frig when I keep them in a SS bowl though. I run them up the sides and keep the center open for water to settle without contacting the fish. I dry fish as much as possible before putting in, then cover top with aluminium foil. Best way I have found to keep fish fresh in frig.
