Anybody here from Bath County Kentucky or Owingsville in particular? I'm planning a road trip to do some family history research, and wondered about places to stay and eat. I was there once in 1965, but was only 7-don't remember much. Any cemetery info would also be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I'm not from bath county but have been there a lot. Not much in Owingsville other than fast food joints. not sure about a motel tho. Mt. sterling is just a few miles down the interstate from it tho and there are places to stay and eat there. there is a really big trade days in October right outside of Owingsville in a little town called Preston. it is a good time.

Thanks, Sako. Kind of what I thought. I'll just take what I can find-it's only for a couple days. I found out some cemetery info online so I will have some exploring to do.

the county clerks office will know of every registered cemetery even if it was just and only family one. they have to keep them marked on the assessor's map.

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

Pete, you are right-there are some cemeteries there that are just family plots out behind the house.
