If you was going to have a shirt or shirts made, what would you want put on it ? Such as a saying , silhouette, or picture. Also, any ideas on shirts for women and kids? Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated!

I've been working on my T-Shirts for two years now and the only thing I know for sure is:
1....Got to have a pocket. 2....Have to have an eye catching pic. 3....Business logo has to be on it some where, with how to access. 4....Placement of pic is crucial for women's shirts, LOL, meaning front as thats a built in sign board ! Sorry ladies, but it's the truth! Neckline for women is important as well, men ?
I've changed the pic 5 times and still thinking about if it's the one I want. You only have so much room for design without going over board with stuff.
Animal or just words? Animals more eye catching first notice, word play can be memorable as well.
Give a way with a certain price purchase and as advertisement denotes price of shirt, which makes material made out of a important question for comfort as well.
Oh the decisions! I welcome input !!
Sorry if my opinions or replies offend you, they are not meant to !

The reason I ask about the shirts that yall would like, is this. After making shirts and stuff with embroidery, vinyl, and transfers for several years, my wife has decided to open up a business herself. She has mainly done only custom work to this point. Due to the fact that there are very limited trapping shirts available anywhere, I have convinced her to try to take care of us trappers. When all is in order, hopefully in the next few weeks, I will put stuff on Craft Sales forum and reveal the Website address. Gritguy has some very good points to go by when setting up the shirts. Using top quality shirts and top quality materials is a must for the garment to hold up to the abuse that a trapper will put it through as well. Thanks for all the input.

Cotton may be comfy but it doesn't live long after a few launderings it shrinks and fades. I'd be more a fan of dry fit or similar material ts. Jim
Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.

The Gildan Dry Fit shirts is what she has had the best luck with so far. She does her best to put her work on what ever the customer wants though.

Well maybe she could make you one out of your dry fit's? I'll stay with cotton just like the ones I've been wearing for years.

I know that the material for T's can be rather expensive, passing this cost on to the user can be a deadly deal for having them made. Unless the material is a lasting one, even then it's hard to sell one past $25.00
One must find a happy compromise between a nice material and life as well as cost to make it doable for the business.
Volume buying sometimes helps this, even though that is costly as well, can be a disaster if no one likes the art work, your then stuck giving them away instead of trying to sell them for advertisement purposes.
I have witnessed business's who have shown their artwork, gotten rave reviews for it and lots of interest in having one, only to see someone take and use it as their own, have to be careful !

Yes sir, I have Googled it. Several places offer the trapping shirts. Just trying to make something that is a little more unique for us trappers. As for Cafe press. They sell more anti stuff than they do pro stuff. No way I would support them ! I am a proud trapper and proud veteran. Figured I may get more support they do.

Don't cheap out on the shirt, buy quality, and that the stated size is what you get.

Going cheap is something she refuses to do Bob. Quality equipment, shirts, material, vinyl, and embroidery thread. What ever she puts out, she wants it to be right. I believe that is the reason she has so much repeat customers.

Use Carhartt shirts. Top quality and the most choices in sizing. Only outfit I've found that makes cotton t-shirts in tall sizes. And they have pockets.
