I dig through bags of garbage thrown out and when I find something that identifies the scat-bag that threw the trash bags, I call the sheriff’s department.

Yeah, some litter bugs leave address labels behind. I've heard of people getting caught that way

Had a dumpster for the drug store I managed.One day it was filled with bags of someones garbage.The idiot left some of his bills in a bag.
I called him and told him he had 10 minutes to get the dupster emptied or I would call the sheriff.
He arrived just as the heavens opened up with a real nice down pour.I stood in the doorway and made sure he emptied it all out---in the pouring rain.--I loved every minute of the rain.

A local fella was out on the refuge, hunting artifacts, which is illegal, but was also picking up trash. Warden saw him and made him dump the trash out on the ground, as it's illegal to remove ANYTHING from a refuge.

I know a guy that got busted for leaving his flagging behind. And I know another guy that got busted for leaving q tips behind at his pocket sets. Both cases were on public property.

Around here if someone litters on public land it's an excuse for fish and game to close the road.

That happened here.

WE had this huge public rat marsh you could back right up to the pier and unload your boat. Then some idiot or idiots decide It would be a great dumping site. Now It's 1/2 mile hike to the marsh and dragging your boat and gear just doesn't cut It.

Someone dumped their trash in the ditch by my place one time. I found a couple envelopes with the same address on them. I called the sheriff office,they said there was nothing they could do, because they couldn't prove he dumped it. I asked them what? Has anybody reported their trash stolen? So I found the guys phone number. I explained to him that if it wasn't gone by morning I would deliver it to his front yard tomorrow night, without the bags. If it wasn't him it was still gone in the morning no questions asked.

What happened?
I caught this guy letting his dog crap In my yard with out picking It up. I tracked him to is house. Next night he had about 20 lbs of assorted crap on his drive way. It solved the problem

Hope you painted some good gland lure on the bottom of his front porch step. A little honey on his tires at night makes for an interesting daytime experience as well LOL.
