He could get injured and have to be put down. Just think of the horse nooky he'd be missing out on. If it's a stallion.
Life ain't supposed to be easy.

The owners have enough of his DNA on ice to repopulate the entire world with horses of his line. Running again is just trying to prove the point of "my horse is better than yours"

Thoroughbreds of this caliber are breed naturally (well in breeding barns). The breeding programs are part of the racing culture. All the big fancy farms in Lexington and Paris Ky, where Windstar (Stage Magic) and Adena Springs (Ghostzapper) are, have and use their breeding barns to produce race horses like Justify.

Why do quarterbacks still play after they've won a Super Bowl?

Comparing the Super Bowl to the Triple Crown is silly. You don't see horses attempt to repeat the TC. I don't know if it's rules due to age?
Just checked, the TC races are open to 3 yr old horses.

The owners have enough of his DNA on ice to repopulate the entire world with horses of his line. Running again is just trying to prove the point of "my horse is better than yours" And he probably is the best horse out there. But, what happens to his stock if he would happen to lose a race? Does his stock suddenly take a hit?
