Found this little guy while helping a buddy of mine set some trot lines. We found the mother floating dead a few yards away. I have to say hes a rambunctious little feller.my niece named him wexller valentine

It's unlikely that they could catch a beaver kit that size unless it was already distressed.

I have caught a few when the river gets up bank full in the spring, guess it floods them out of the den. The ones I have caught were smaller and none ever made it long couldn't get them to take a bottle. That one looks bigger and may eat solid food.

CO called yesterday thought she had something for me when I seen who was calling first thing I said "do you have a deer for me", she laughed and said "no just making sure your doing the kids talk again this year". Told her she gets anything to give me a call a lot can be learned/shared raising a animal.

They only pee & poo in the water. So get it to the water plenty of times so the bladder does not rupture, which is fatal of course.
