The guy I've been buying my honker call guts from started to make parts for speck calls. These are my first calls using them. They sound great and are much easier to tune than a honker call because the reed doesn't go down into the tone channel. These are on their way to a buddy in Alberta. The specks will be long gone by the time I go in late October but he'll get to use them before.

Someone that can blow a ‘belly call is a musician as far as I’m concerned. It’s like music to my ears! It’s not like the sound of a mallard call that is great when hunting, but when you’re not hunting makes me feel like saying “alright alright enough already, you’re driving me nuts.” Speck calls haven’t gotten old, at least not yet.

Nice calls! I can hear them clucking and flowing now.

I’ve put duck and goose hunting on a back burner for the last 5 years. I’m going to get back to the blinds more this season.

I've gone to speck hunting about 75% of the time now in the last few years and I hunt almost everyday of the goose season.
Aix sponsa, there's a guy from down there somewhere, Baton Rouge maybe, that hunted with us a couple of times a year or so ago that was the LA Speck caller champion his name is Nick Patin, do you know him? Great guy...d2

Beautiful looking calls .I would be afraid to take one of those out side . But if they sounds as good as they look it would be ashamed not to use them .

I don’t know him, but he seems like a guy that’s always welcome on hunts wink

Nice looking calls! I moved back to the west side of SK this year so I should be back in the speck flight line. I haven’t shot a speck in three years I bet

Sask hunter.. good for you. They sure seem a lot better on the table than honkers. Their numbers seem to keep going up every year even with the late season hunts and higher limits.

Almost makes me want to go to Alberta earlier but I love shooting mallards when they're colored up and there is snow around.

The calls all have a super glue finish so they are really tough.

Good luck,

Pete

I have never shoot a lot of any kind of geese . But I do enjoy getting to hunt late season mallards . The last week of Dec and the first 3 weeks of Jan can be some great hunting even if I only get one or two drakes a day . They are generally real feathered up and nice and fat . And the cold weather makes it even more fun
