...under a box/can/pots/6qt Ice cream container (they stack), or what have you, for Marten and use a foothold instead of a conibear...anybody doing it.?

What about a simple and quick way to then swing the animal away from the tree suspended.?
Would you just attach to the end of another leaning pole bypassing the container.?

Figuring in potential for larger animals being caught at the set, suspension attachment will want to be fairly robust.
Seen the rebar and bracket combo, and although it's cool, I'd prefer to avoid that extra weight.

Anyone doing this with a Hagz or similar using footholds.???

If you set it up correctly they will swing away from everything and be suspended away from the ground, pole, tree

Trapped4ever has a set with footholds on the side of a tree. The trap is balanced on a couple of nails and tied off to a branch overhead. There MIGHT be a picture of it somewhere in the archives but i'm not sure

Thanks again White. I'll look for it, and or ask if he'll send me a picture. Some of those archkved photos are blacked out so it's hard to find and see a lot of them...but I'm looking.

358 - just seen this and wanted to add that we have customers that are attaching it to the end of a leaning pole as a 'last and only step' with bait suspended just out and over the trap. The catch suspends from the end leaning pole/bracket when caught. Just one way, but this does provide a easy way to 'swing' it out like you asked.
